The growth of our programs and initiatives has been the result of recalibration, reengineering and restructuring of the office of EWD.  Strategies were created to improve employer engagement and strengthen the programs and services that constitute our foundation, including informative conferences, innovative round tables, and the the launch of our Future of Work Podcast and our newsletter, the Pulse.  Striving to be a leading talent source in the industry, we are committed to the success of our local communities and the long-term pursuit of regional economic growth.

Robert G. Freeman Center for Career Completion Located on the main campus, the Freeman Center prepares students for the professional world, building a foundation for their futures and connecting them to prospective employers in the local business community.
Future of Work This initiative seeks to explore the workforce trends in the San Gabriel Valley to better understand how local companies are preparing for the next generation of workers and adjusting to the quick pace of innovation.
Workforce Training Our experts offer specialized workforce training unique to your business model and employee needs. We customize programs to upskill your current workforce, keep you competitive, grow career opportunities, and improve your bottom line.
Small Business Development Center Whether you’re a startup, emerging, or established business, the SBDC offers a variety of success strategies and services, providing no-cost advising and low-cost training to trigger growth opportunities at every stage of your business development.
Los Angeles Regional Consortium (LARC) LARC consists of 19 community colleges in Los Angeles County. It serves to coordinate, collaborate, organize, and facilitate interaction in the region to ensure workforce training is provided to all in a way that is accessible, efficient, responsive, data-driven and improves outcomes.
Advisory Committees The Advisory Committees are a reflection of the collaborative efforts between the office of EWD and its business, labor and community partners, offering qualitative workforce consultation and education to faculty who provide program oversight.

Alumni Program The PCC Alumni Network is an engagement platform, an online network designed to give back and get the most out of shared college experience, scale career guidance efforts, develop mentoring programs and grow alumni philanthropy.
PCC Extension PCC Extension, open to the community, offers classes, workshops, training programs, certificate courses, and activities for personal enrichment and professional development.  Personal enrichment options include informational, hands-on, day trips and tours while professional development programs and certificate courses focus upon skill building and career exploration.
Apprenticeship PCC Economic and Workforce Development partners with dedicated deans and faculty to create and support apprenticeship programs. These programs are typically designed to provide hands-on training and practical experience in various trades or professions. EWD coordinates, promotes, and facilitates the delivery of these programs in collaboration with the campus community, industry, and local agencies.
Women's Business Center Collaborates directly with women entrepreneurs to help launch and scale their small businesses, addressing the unique challenges and opportunities they encounter. The WBC offers a variety of success strategies, along with no-cost advising and low-cost training, driving economic growth and fostering gender equity in the business community.
